Thank you so much to everyone who came to Oshkosh and The Time Community Theater to attended the Sawdust City Fright Fest this weekend! We all had a great time and loved seeing all of you! This was our most successful Fest yet thanks to the amazing volunteers at The TIME and our committee, who worked tirelessly to put this together.
We’re super excited to announce that the Sawdust City Fright Fest is teaming up with the Sunset Point Winery in Stevens Point, WI for a special treat on Halloween day! Tuesday, October 31st, 2023 from noon until 7:30, we’ll be screening an all day horror movie marathon, curated from Public Domain movies. The movies will be shown on multiple large screen TVs placed on either end of the tasting room, so patrons can continue to enjoy their wine by the bottle, glass, or tasting flight while being treated to a selection of horror goodness. As a bonus treat, patrons will receive free popcorn with the purchase of a beverage.

You may remember at last year’s Sawdust City Fright Fest, one of the cast from our midday feature, Dan Davies, discussed during the Q&A how, after 13 years, Ed Gein: The Musical, in which he stars, had been picked up for distribution. We know you were waiting for more news, and here it is. In just a couple weeks, this irreverently told tale about one of Wisconsin’s most notorious criminals, a man who inspired such legends as Hitchcock and Hooper, will be screening at The TIME Community Theater in beautiful downtown Oshkosh, WI.
So mark your calendars for Saturday, August 12th, 2023! Doors will open at 6:30 pm for a 7 pm showing. Ticket prices are $15 and the SCFF will be providing the popcorn! Autographed merchandise from the film will also be available. And stick around to the end because give aways will include authentic movie props and merchandise! Grab yourself a soda or beer to go with your popcorn, and enjoy the experience.
As always, all the proceeds from the SCFF go to The TIME Community Theater, a non-profit, entirely volunteer run, historic community theater, which is kind enough to be home to the Sawdust City Fright Fest each October.
