Just a quick update that selection notifications have been sent! With double the submissions we had last year, our judges worked to the wire to choose, what we hope will be, a fantastic film fest for you. We have the line up posted on our website and follow us on our Social Media for information on individual films.

This year, the 2024 Sawdust City Fright Fest will kick off on Friday, October 11th, 2024 and the main fest on Saturday, October 12th, 2024. Times to be announced once the the selection process has completed. As always, it will be held at the TIME Community Theater in historic downtown Oshkosh, WI.

Thank you, Mark the Movieman for being an awesome MC, and especially, thanks to Time Community Theater, and all the hardworking volunteers, for hosting this frightfully wonderful mini fest! We heard a lot of positive feedback and are definitely planning on a Lil’ Bloodies 3!
Thank you to all the amazing filmmakers who submitted films to the 2024 Sawdust City Fright Fest! The submission period is now closed and the Committee is hard a work watching and making the selections for the films which will be screened! We will be announcing the selections August 1st.
Because we all love year-round horror, the Sawdust City Fright Fest has organized a Mini-Horror Film Fest at The TIME Community Theater, reminiscent of our very first curated event for fans of Horror-Comedy short films. Coming to you June 2024, SCFF presents: Lil’ Bloodies II! This is a curated film festival comprised of some of our favorite old and new horror-comedy shorts. Some of these have been newly remastered just for this mini-fest from past festival runs and some are first time screenings.

Great news everyone, the submission period for the 2024 Sawdust City Fright Fest is open now through June 1st, 2024! We are looking forward to another season of great indie films and another amazing independent horror film festival!
Thank you so much to everyone who came to Oshkosh and The Time Community Theater to attended the Sawdust City Fright Fest this weekend! We all had a great time and loved seeing all of you! This was our most successful Fest yet thanks to the amazing volunteers at The TIME and our committee, who worked tirelessly to put this together.
We’re super excited to announce that the Sawdust City Fright Fest is teaming up with the Sunset Point Winery in Stevens Point, WI for a special treat on Halloween day! Tuesday, October 31st, 2023 from noon until 7:30, we’ll be screening an all day horror movie marathon, curated from Public Domain movies. The movies will be shown on multiple large screen TVs placed on either end of the tasting room, so patrons can continue to enjoy their wine by the bottle, glass, or tasting flight while being treated to a selection of horror goodness. As a bonus treat, patrons will receive free popcorn with the purchase of a beverage.

Admission for Saturday October 14th, 2023 will be $13 (presale) for an ALL DAY pass for Saturday. That includes 17 short films (split into two 90-minute blocks) and 2 feature length films.
Remember, The TIME is cash only for everything at the door, parking may be limited at noon, doors at noon, films 12:30.
