Thanks for all the films! A 2025 wrap up.

Thank you to all Filmmakers, friends, fans, and general supporters of the Sawdust City Fright Fest and independent film who showed up in person and in spirit to make our 5th year such a special event! Our committee dedicates a lot of time to putting together spooky and spectacular film festival, and we have been so fortunate to have such amazing films to share with you all. Without you, our audience, we wouldn’t exist.

This year was full of outstanding films, 23 shorts and 2 feature length films over 2 days, and even more outstanding filmmakers. Over 50% of this year’s line up was Wisconsin connected and there were fantastic selections from all over the country and around the world as well. We want to give a great big thank you to all the filmmakers who came out and participated in some Q&A with our own Mark the Movieman and our audience. I’m sure I speak for us all when I say that we are looking forward to seeing your next projects!

As always, we thank The TIME Community Theater for hosting the Sawdust City Fright Fest, and indeed the other mini-fests we do throughout the year. The TIME is a non-profit, entirely volunteer run community theater in beautiful downtown Oshkosh, WI. Not only do they host our fright fest, they show many independent films, screen 2nd run films, as well as host many great live events. all of which are reasonably priced.

About Mojodawn

I've been a fan of the horror genre all my life, ever since I accidentally saw the "Here's Johnny" scene from The Shining in the theater as a child. I don't consider myself a reviewer, but I do have a blog where I write my thoughts on some of the films I watch. I've been attending independent film festivals for many years and was a committee member of the North East Wisconsin (NEW) Horror Film Festival since 2016.
